History of Diss

Diss has a rich history that spans over a thousand years.​ The town’s history is intertwined with agriculture, medieval trade, and local governance, and it has developed from a small Saxon settlement to a thriving market town.

Getting here

Diss is a unique market town situated just off the A140/A143, twenty three miles south-east of Norwich and 15 miles south of Wymondham. 

Diss is well-connected by rail and bus services, making it easy to reach from various parts of the UK.
